Background: The original Canadian Standards Strategy (CSS) was commissioned by the federal Minister of Industry anddeveloped by a Stakeholders Advisory Council including representatives from industry, federal, provincial andterritorial governments, non-governmental organizations, standards and conformity assessment bodies andthe Standards Council itself.
